Hello,
In one of my computers, I cannot open saved R scripts. It shows the file type as it is, i.e. ".R" but displayed as pdf. While opening, it shows the error message of file damaged and adobe unable to open it. I also tried "open with" without success.
It perhaps is some small setting issue but I am a newbie and any help will be great.

Well, as it turns out: one just needs to open it from Rstudio but cannot directly without launching Rstudio. If any other newbie ever will look for this answer!
I think your file associations at OS level are screwed up.
what operating system do you use ?
