Question marks as results

I need help with this. Anytime I import a data to rmarkdown and I ran it, it comes as question marks. I have to run it again in the console to see the actual values.

Missing font for Rstudio?

Running Rstudio Version 2025.09.1+401 (2025.09.1+401) on Mac Intel chip running Tahoe 26.0.1 (25A362). When I launch Rstudio, the splash screen has question marks (?) all over it. Similarly, in the Find/Replace menu, the "Find" etc are replaced by question marks. [Screenshot 2025-10-11 at 13.46.45] Question marks also appear in many other places i.e. Tool -> GlobalOptions -> Appearance. [Screenshot 2025-10-11 at 13.54.26] I'm guessing that this is a missing font problem, but which font is missing/damaged that I can try and re-install? RStudio inline output is just ???

Does anyone else has a similar problem with RStudio's inline code output? [Screenshot 2025-09-25 at 11.51.20 AM] I'm running Rstudio Version 2025.09.0+387 (2025.09.0+387) on my iMac. Already tried to restart, new installation, but still no avails. Any ideas what to do? thanks Assa
