Quarto Extension Explorer

Abstract: Extensions are a powerful way to modify and extend the behavior of Quarto. For folks using Quarto and R, the Quarto Extension Explorer package provides a way interactively explore, install, remove or update one (or more) Quarto extensions from the official Quarto Extension Listing. It's kind of like the extensions marketplace/webstore you have in VSCode or Chrome but for Quarto projects via a Shiny gadget. Included in the R package is an Rstudio addin for the gadget.
Full Description: The Quarto extension explorer R package is designed to resemble the official Quarto Extension Listing. It gives users who the ability to stay in their RStudio IDE and search through over 130 different Quarto Extensions to add into their Quarto projects via a Shiny gadget. Users can also manage their existing Quarto Extensions in their project using the Shiny gadget. The linked Posit Cloud project shares an example of how you can use the Shiny gadget to interactively search for extensions in the official Quarto Extension Listing and manage the extensions for your Quarto project.
