I just updated to Positron Version: 2026.01.0 (system setup) build 147 on Windows 11
Now the Python startup fails with: positron attempting to import zmq cython backend, which has not been compiled
I found that the upgrade had gone into discovery mode and picked up an old unmaintained Python installation. Fix was to steer it to the correct installation.
