Whilst monitoring a long-running script in Windows Process Explorer I saw that the rsession-utf8 process, which judging from its cpu and memory consumption is where the real work happens, had had its priority reduced to Background(4). I reset it to Normal, where it stayed for a bit bit then went back to Background.
Is this normal and expected behaviour? Because I'm not sure that that's really what I want, is it?
