Coder (https://coder.com/) is "an open-source platform where developers and AI agents collaborate securely in self-hosted environments on your infrastructure."
As work is done on positron server, I'm wondering if this platform can be included as a target. It already supports VS Code (both desktop and web versions), so it seems like it should also be able to integrate with positron.
At Calvin University, Coder is the current solution for Computer Science (using VS Code), and I'd like to be able to piggy-back on that infrastructure to provide Positron to our students. (We already have RStudio included in Coder.)
In academic settings, we are seeking to make it easier to integrate Posit Workbench/Positron Pro (including free teaching licenses) into existing infrastructure. If you'd like to discuss more please reach out by email (I'm thomas@posit.co).
Thanks for the quick response. We do use Posit Workbench (for RStudio). But we are watching Positron to see if/when it is time to make the switch. And since Coder is already being used for other things, we'll be exploring how Positron works in that context.
For teaching purposes, a browser-based solution has many advantages, including greatly simplify the start-up for students.
