package not available

Dear All,
I am just starting in r. When I type
install.packages("meta"), I get the message "package ‘meta’ is not available (for R version 3.6.0)".

What does this mean? What is the way around?

The current R version is 4.1.2 and you are using version 3.6.0. The meta package requires R to be version 4.0.0 or higher. I suggest you install the latest version.
