When peeking into a student's project, can the instructor directly edit and run code?
Can a student also have their workspace open when me (instructor) "peeking" in? My experience is that having me in their workspace crashes their session.

Yes! The only thing to be aware of is that two people can't be in the same project at the same time. So my recommendation is to ping your student before you peek into their project.
