New Package with devtools, renv, and git?

In the New Package wizard, there are options to select git and renv, which are not available in the "New Package with devtools" dialog.

Is this simply an omission, or are these reasons that git and/or renv don't work with devtools?

If not, is there a preferred option if I wish to use all three?

Hi @IanW,

They probably just haven't update the dialog box for creating a new package with devtools. renv and git work fine with any type of project, including creating new packages with or without devtools.

Feel free to use whichever you prefer.
