Multi-lingual websites with blogdown and distill

Hi All

I am currently preparing a course for introductory level data science in German and am planning to host a course website using either the distill or blogdown packages.

I want to prepare the website in German and English. Does anyone have experience with that or can point me to resources that have implemented this? I found some good information in the Hugo documentation, but am looking for actual examples, ideally with the source code on GitHub.
