whenever i install 'tidyverse' and run library, i recieved this from R "library(tidyverse)
Error: package or namespace load failed for ‘tidyverse’:
.onLoad failed in loadNamespace() for 'broom', details:
call: loadNamespace(x)
error: there is no package called ‘backports’" can anyone help me resolve this, please?

It looks like you are missing the backports package.

Try

install.packages("backports")

and try a reinstall of 'tidyverse'
