Iosevka Extended not working as editor font

I downloaded and installed the Iosevka fonts (Iosevka/doc/PACKAGE-LIST.md at v15.6.3 · be5invis/Iosevka · GitHub), they are available among the Editor fonts in the Appearance Options but for example when Iosevka Extended is selected, RStudio falls back Courier instead, it happens with other variants, too, although most work fine. I tested the font in other editors, Extended works fine in them. I'd like to use this extended version as it is greatly readable for my eyes. Is there a chance of fixing this?
