Inaccurate mouse response windows 10

Error Information:

Description of issue -
Mouse response is inaccurate in windows 10 despite a powerful machine (fine in osx). This results in incorrect highlighting of code during editing, need to repeat copy and pastes and other complications which waste time and cause irritation and mistakes. The mouse response is OK in other applications.

Steps taken so far -
Tried other mice, looked at increasing mouse polling rate

System Information:

  • RStudio Edition: (Desktop or Server) Desktop
  • RStudio Version: 1.2.5001
  • OS Version: Windows 10 Education
  • R Version: 3.6.2

Hi there,
In the past the choice of font has caused some mouse movement problems in RStudio, see:

Try changing the font to Lucida console in the menu Tools>Global Options>Appearance and see if that fixes it.
You could also try updating to the latest version of RStudio 1.2.5033
