To provide a more secure and feature-rich experience, Posit will be migrating all shinyapps.io users to Connect Cloud at the end of 2026. Connect Cloud is our next-generation platform that supports more frameworks, more deployment options, and better performance.
We are working to make the move as automatic as possible and you do not need to take any action right now.
What you should know.
- Timeline: shinyapps.io will remain active until December 31, 2026.
- Your Links: Existing shinyapps.io URLs will automatically redirect to their new locations, so your shared links won’t break.
- Your Code: Most applications should run on the new platform without needing any code changes.
- Pricing: A Free plan will still be available. More details on paid plan transitions will be shared by July 2026.
