I get "R encountered a fatal error. The session was terminated" after installing RStudio-2023.09.1-494.exe on Windows 10 Pro

Installation on Windows works fine. I have Windows 10 Pro. I installed in this sequence:

  • R-4.3.2-win.exe
  • rtools43-5863-5818.exe
  • RStudio-2023.09.1-494.exe

I did a clean uninstall before I installed, even deleting the folders "R" abd "RStudio" in C:\Users[Username]\AppData\Local\

On the previous version, all worked fine since years.
