I am taking a Data Analytics online class and I need to download R and RStudio for the class. I downloaded the free version onto my computer, but I cannot open R. I saved the shortcut on my task bar but when I click on it, it does not open. Did I miss something in the installation? I also downloaded R Studio. R Studio is opening normally but the screen is blank except for the menu on the top of the page. My question is very basic but I would really appreciate some help.

R has different binaries for different operating systems. Its possible you downloading an incompatible version for your os?
