I cannot install R on my MacBook Air. I keep receiving a message stating "The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance". My macOs is Ventura 13.0. What can I do or who do I have to contact? Thanks!
Does your MacBook Air have an Intel or Apple Silicon processor? Did you download R for x86_64 or arm64 to match?
Also, Cran has this warning:
macOS Ventura users: there is a known bug in Ventura preventing installations from some locations without a prompt. If the installation fails, move the downloaded file away from the Downloads folder (e.g., to your home or Desktop).
