How to update RStudio desktop on Ubuntu 22.041LTS

Hello Everyone,

I use Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
R and Rstudio work fine, but I would like to update RStudio to a newer version.
Do I only need to download the appropriate .deb file.
locate it in the "dowloaded files" folder , then open it . and that's all ?

will all the files and dependencies from the older version be updated ?

or is there a special procedure to update RStudio in a clean way ?

Yes, downloading the .deb file and installing it the usual way should do the job. As long as you are not upgrading R, the installed libraries will remain visible in RStudio.
