Can this behavior be suppressed in Shiny so that debugging line by line works like it used to?

In short is not considered OK to just drop a link to other help site, you have to clearly present your question in both sites, not just one.
It wasn't my question, but fine, I'll restate it:
When debugging in shiny via browser or breakpoint and running line by line, is it possible to disable whatever "feature" triggers a new function tab to be opened in the IDE? It's incredibly annoying to have to keep switching tabs.
