How to install "tidyverse"package? I keep getting question "Do you want to install from sources the packages which need compilation?"

Please help!

My RStudio is updated and I'm using MacOS Big Sur 11.5.2

I have been trying to install a package called "tidyverse" but I was asked

1. "Do you want to install from sources the packages which need compilation? (Yes/no/cancel)", once answered Yes,
2. "Do you want to attempt to install these from sources? (Yes/no/cancel)"

After answering Yes to both questions, I get "The downloaded source packages are in
‘/private/var/folders/qp/fk7gff2n7mx7_k1zb98xchlm0000gn/T/Rtmp6Gwhxr/downloaded_packages’" and it will not be in my installed packages tab.

You're on version 3.5 of R. Perhaps upgrade it and try again? The latest version is 4.1.1.

It was in the error message: * removing '/Users/amy/Library/R/3.5/library/modelr'
