How to add automatic page breaks in Rmarkdown document.

Is there a setting to add in Rmarkdown doc to automatically detect where to create page breaks?

I'm kitting a doc to PDF and some of my tables are getting cut off from one page to another. I'm having to knit the entire doc, then go back and see where tables are getting cut off and add page breaks.

As pdf is generated by latex, please consider using longtable package: CTAN: Package longtable
