How did the parsnip package got its name?

Hi there!

I'm just wondering... why is the parsnip package called parsnip? Does anyone know? Also, how does it relate to modeling? Does it have anything to do with the recipes package analogy?

Thanks in advance for your answers!
Best,
Alexis

For anyone interested... I found the answer in the RStudio Conf 2019. It's literally one of the first things Max says in his 2019 talk. (see 0:18)
