Is there any option in R studio to highlight the selected section in a way similar to the option available on Spyder?
I'm trying to get used to the conventions of posting topics here..Excuse me if something is not in order!

No, there isn't currently a way to do this. You can however define sections and use them for navigation, expand/collapse code folding, etc. More here:

@jonathan It would be really helpful if RStudio can have that feature in the future. It helps a lot if the code is long enough and I don't want to use the folding because I need to scroll up and down to check things.

+1 for this. Especially when coming back to code from switching between projects it would be great to easily flag sections for actioning, when scrolling back & forth between blocks etc.
