Highlighting Codes and Selecting Boxes

Hi guys, I am new to R and RStudio.
I am having issues highlighting codes.
Secondly, I cannot check boxes e.g selecting Environment or files in Pane Layout

What operating system and versions of R and RStuduio are you using?

Was it working before or is this a brand new Installation?

Is R itself working well if you load it at a terminal or Winows GUI?

As a bit of a long shot you might try Resetting RStudio Desktop's State

Sure!

i un-installed the software, shutdown my system and install it again.
However, I had done same a couple of times before but it did not work initially.
