high memory on Ubuntu even with latest RStudio

Just want to follow up the post here

This issue still exists and I would love a solution. Just installed rstudio-2025.09.1-401-amd64.deb
on Pluckin Puffin and on start up it shows memory usage of 11gB
this is very annoying and this amount builds up over time to absurd levels

Be great to see what the developers can do - or anyone else may have a solution
