High CPU from QTWebEngineProcess, crashing RStudio

Hi all, any time I am editing a script in RStudio the %CPU for QTWebEngineProcess shoots up to 100+%, and it becomes impossible to edit or move around in RStudio, let alone run command lines, making it incredibly difficult to work in RStudio at all.

I have tried several suggested fixes (changing the rendering option, GPU options, uninstalling/re-installing RStudio), and am keeping my scripts short (<2000 lines). This seems like a common problem and I cannot find a solution.

Please help with any suggested fixes! Thank you so much!
