Help creating graphs with ggplot

Hi, so i am trying to make a ggplot that will take data i have in a table

in this table there are many different values,
i am trying to make it so each parameter for its respective tool has its own graph.

So it would be a Group, it would be like tool A1--> have parameter Sz on the Y axis, and then have the times 0H, 3H, 6H, 9H on the X axis,
and then do this same thing for all of the parameters and all of the tools at once
i am new to this i dont know what im doing please help

If there are not too many tools, a grid of plots may work. If your data frame is named DF,

ggplot(DF, aes(x = time, y = value)) + geom_line() + facet_grid(parameter ~ tool, scales = "free")

the data frame is called plot.df

i tried that code and it gave me an error

The closing parenthesis was missing from the dput. Try

dput(plot.df[plot.df$tool %in% c("A1", "A2") & plot.df$time %in% c("0H", "3H"), ])

ok So now the issue is that the graphs are very small and there is no points on the scatter plot
if possible i would like it to be in groups,

something like this in this (poorly drawn) sketch

So that all the parameters for tool A1 would have their own graph with the times at the X axis,
And i would want this to do it for all of the tools
is this even possible?

yeah i dont know what to do im trying to make the GGplot, and its not working

I think we need a fairly large sample of your raw data it a readable format.

A handy way to supply some sample data is the dput() function. In the case of a large dataset something like dput(head(mydata, 100)) should supply the data we need. Just do dput(mydata) where mydata is your data. Copy the output and paste it here.

I was told by another
" ggplot(dataframe) +

geom_point(aes(x = x_variable, y = y_variable)

In your case, dataframe would be plot.df, x_variable would be time, and y_variable would be value.

From there you can make changes to the graph much like you are already doing. If you want different graphs for every tool and parameter set you can add the following line to the above ggplot:

+ facet_grid(tool~parameter, scales = β€œfree”, labeller = label_both())

This will put all of your graphs in the same output so you can really visualize them together and it will eliminate your need for the loops."

but i dont know how id encorporate this into the code im very new to this

This seems to work reasonably well. I used my previous ggplot code but I opened a larger plotting window. I included the line for a Windows system. The code for a Linux/Mac is below that as a comment.

You can use the filter() function from the dplyr package to pick the rows you want. There are many possible ways to filter the data. Here are two examples.

If i wanted to take each tool group, and put the data for each tool and its corresponding parameter onto a single graph, how would i do that?
So rather than there being 84 different graphs, there is just 12, so all the data from tools A1-3 would be on the same graph for whatever given parameter?

This code filters for the A tools and then makes a plot for each parameter, coloring by the tool id. Is that the kind of plot you want?
