I tried going to my laptop settings to enable my keyboard. I'm still having issues trying to paste. I need help.
Hi, welcome to the forum
We need a bit more information.
What is your Operating System?
What version of R?
What version of RStudio?
Is the problem only appearing in RStudio? Can you cut and paste in other applications such as your word processor or spreadsheet?
Are you trying to load the data to the laptop or to the cloud?
Come to think of it, where is the data coming from?
Also, do you have problems pasting into both the file editor (R scripts, Rmd files etc.) and also the console (pasting R commands), or just one or the other?
I'm using Chromebook HP. I tried linking it with Linux but I don't think its compatible, so I'm using R Studio Project. How would I find the version. I couldn't download it to my laptop. I logged in through the website. I can copy and paste in other applications. I'm trying to load data to the cloud. The data is coming from a folder I created.
I'm realizing I can copy and paste words but not files like excel and txt documents.
I had not realized that a Chromebook HP ran a ChromeOS (often referred to as Chrome OS). This is something I have never encountered before.
You seem to need to install a working version of Linux before you can use R.
This post looks like it can help.
Note: You probably want to specify "26.04" as the Ubuntu version. The post is a bit old.
As a long–time Ubuntu user I applaud his choice.
