I'm a beginner learning to use R for data analysis as part of the Google Data Analytics certification. Does anyone have a lesson template for performing a data analysis project from beginning to end using R?

I am not sure such a thing as a "lesson template" exists.
You might want to try an internet search with the search terms R Statistics and workflow. They should give you a number of hits like R Workflow which may help.
