First time loading RStudio only shows logo, but second loads normal

Hello,

After updating RStudio, I won't fully load. The initial load only shows the RStudio logo and never goes to the actual RStudio interface. It does not give an error message.

After I click close and click RStudio a second time, it'll load normally; briefly shows the RStudio logo, but then moves on towards the RStudio interface.

I tried holding ctrl on startup to change it, but it keeps doing this after every restart of my laptop. Any suggestions on how to solve this issue?

System info:

  • R version 4.2.2 (2022-10-31 ucrt) -- "Innocent and Trusting"

If you're holding Ctrl to bring up the Choose R dialog, this can be accessed from Tools > Global Options > General. You can change your R version and restart RStudio.
