File Structure for data files in blogdown website project

Hi,

I'm working on a new blogdown post with a new csv file that I may use in subsequent posts. My question is what is the best file structure for data files in a blogdown website.

  1. Put the data in current post folder. This makes it easy to access the file for the current post, but may make it difficult to access the same file in subsequent pots.
  2. Put the data in a folder called data in the root directory of the project. This is what I've done but it's kind of weird because the root directory of the post is the post folder itself so I have to set the working directory up three folders "../../..".

Please let me know if there are any issues with my post, but also please be gentle in your feedback--This is my first time posting here!
