Hi all,
I am currently completing my bachelor's thesis in Business Informatics at HTW Berlin. As part of the thesis, I developed RelationLab, an interactive R Shiny application designed to help students learn linear and nonlinear correlation and regression.
The application is intended for students and other users with a basic understanding of introductory statistics. Advanced knowledge of correlation or regression is not required, as the relevant concepts are explained throughout the application.
You can access RelationLab here.
I would be very grateful if some members of the community could work through the application and complete the Quiz & Evaluation section at the end. The full process takes approximately 15–20 minutes.
After completing the final section, the application generates a CSV file containing the participant's quiz and evaluation responses. To contribute to the evaluation of the application, participants can download this file and send it to the email address provided inside the app.
The CSV does not ask for names or demographic information. Please do not include personal information in the file or accompanying email. Participation and submission of the file are completely voluntary.
I am particularly interested in whether:
- the learning progression is easy to follow;
- the explanations are understandable for beginners;
- the interactive controls and visualizations are intuitive;
- the distinction between linear, nonlinear monotonic, and nonlinear non-monotonic relationships becomes clear
The questions included in the Quiz & Evaluation section are the main feedback I am collecting, so there is no need to write a separate review. Additional observations or technical comments in this thread would, however, also be very welcome.
Thank you very much for your time and help!
