Feature Request: Streamline vanity URL config

Hi folks, I couldn't find anywhere else to post a feature request: My users keep creating cool content and then distributing it with these ugly URLs. My first thought was "make it more obvious that there is the option of requesting a vanity URL", but maybe more useful would be an input widget to indicate a vanity URL that would then be approved by an administrator (taking email out of the loop). And if that already exists, feature request: show admins a "what your users see" setting
