fail to download large package

Hi

I cannot persaude the download to finish. More than ten attempts always produce this error:

Error in download.file(url, destfile, method, mode = "wb", ...) :
download from 'https://cran.rstudio.com/bin/macosx/big-sur-arm64/contrib/4.4/terra_1.7-78.tgz' failed

Is there an alternate site and if so how to I achieve that, please?
