Export Flexdashboard/Shiny with interactive elements as html

I created an interactive dashboard via flexdashbord and shiny and everything is working fine, so far.
Now, I would like to spread this dashboard among colleagues as a file (as a web URL might get lost over the years and so on) but I can't figure out, how. Is this possible?

P.S.:
btw, another question on the run: What exactly is the difference between flexdashboard and shiny? Now, I'm using both of them while I used only shiny before and the outcome is, to me, more or less the same. How do they differ, if so?
