Abstract

The “scrollytelling” technique can be a very interesting way to make soccer (or other sports) analysis more dynamic and interactive. In this Quarto Website, I use the Closeread library to tell a story using data from the EURO 2024 final between Spain and England and find all the keys to the match in a more entertaining way.
Also, there is a topic about how I developed the graphs code.

Full Description

The “scrollytelling” technique can be a very interesting way to make soccer (or other sports) analysis more dynamic and interactive.

The main areas it can be useful for are:

  • Match, team and player analysis or reports.
  • Sports data coding explanation.

In this Quarto Website, I use the Closeread library to tell a story using data from the EURO 2024 final between Spain and England and find all the keys to the match in a more entertaining way.
Also, there is a topic about how I developed the graphs code.
