Error with tidyverse first step

install.packages("tidyverse")

I get several errors from package or namespace load failed for 'tidyverse' also that I do not have Rtools downloaded?

I am lost. Any help is appreciated!

Ok I downloaded the RTools but now get this when trying to install tidyverse.

Error: Unable to establish connection with R session when executing 'console_input'

In one instance, it was resolved by disabling the anti-virus software (avast): https://github.com/rstudio/rstudio/issues/5858 Do you have AV running that you can disable as a test? Does the same problem occur if you run RStudio as an administrator?
