Error when trying to launch R 3.2.5: The Application Virtualization Could not launch client

I just joined this community. I have a question I don't knw where ask it.
I am trying to help a colleague who is getting this message when trying to launch R 3.2.5:

The Application Virtualization Could not launch client.

Please help if you can or direct it to proper place. Many thanks

Are you/they launching R via RStudio IDE? or just via the R application? (Differentiating R from RStudio)
