Error trying to upload a shiny app

I am running into two separate issues. When I try to republish an existing app, I get a message that I need to update my CRAN package but there is no further info.

When I try to just publish under a new name, I get an error message that says:

Your content could not be published because of a problem on the server.

https://api.shinyapps.io

If the error persists, contact the server's administrator.

Error code: 426

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
