Error Starting R Permission Denied–only can open as super user from terminal (MacOs Big Sur)

I receive the error message
[rsession-evancarson] ERROR system error 13 (Permission denied)

When I try to open RStudio. RStudio was mostly working fine before, except that when I tried to change the appearance I received a "permission denied" message. I ran it from terminal using the "sudo" command, everything worked perfectly, but since I did that I am unable to open RStudio normally.

It still works if I use "sudo" from the terminal, but this is not convenient. I am on an admin account, so I am not sure why I'm having permission issues.
