Error compiling package updates on Windows

I am getting errors compiling poackage updates from source
eg package odbc

I am on R 4.30 and have Rtools 43 installed. Windows 10

Errors start as below and continue with many errors where the space in Program Files seems to be being misinterpreted

** package 'odbc' successfully unpacked and MD5 sums checked
** using staged installation
make: D:/Program: No such file or directory

Just upgraded to RStudio 2023.06.1+524 "Mountain Hydrangea" Release
issue has gone away
