I'm getting multiple errors and I'm hoping someone can help, even if it's just one thing. It's like I try to do it one way, and I get an error and I try to fix it, and I get a different error, and then I think I fixed it, and then the next line has another error and it's just really frustrating.

I get this
Warning message:

so the plot shows up, but I would like the error message to go away and I'm not sure how to fix that.
Then when I run
geom_line(aes(x=pitch_year, y=median))
and it tells me

in my code because sometimes it gave me the error that yearID was not a valid column, even though it's on there.

The graph I'm trying to imitate looks like this
and the median is the median ERA over time.
I know there are multiple questions here and it is fine if you can just answer one. I'm just confused and not very familiar with R. Thus looking up examples of these error messages and how to fix them isn't always super helpful because I just don't really know what I'm doing. I promise I have tried to do it on my own and research solutions, but at this point it's just really frustrating to keep getting an error message on each line of code I try to run.
