Easiest way to control `R`-version with RStudio Server Free

In context with using RStudio Server Free for teaching*, what is the easiest way to allow switching between different versions of R?

*Several courses will use the same installation, but there is an interest in using different specific versions of R per course.

I think you can use rig, although, it is not as seamless as you might wish.

Thanks for the input @andresrcs - We ended up doing a work-around, where we for each of our courses redirect to a specific RStudio-server installation based on including the course ID in the URL :+1:
