Does R Bookdown allow for DOI minting for each published version of a book, either directly or through an automated archiving/deposit process in an open science repository such as Zenodo that mints DOIs for all uploads?
If not, is that something the Posit community can consider and discuss with potential partners? I've already reached out to Datacite (the world's largest DOI minting service) and they are definitely interested in this workflow idea. Zenodo admins and developers would likely be interested in it as well. I could also see repositories such as Dataverse and DASH being interested in automating the uptake of versions of books created in R Bookdown, including on the fly and interconnected DOI minting.
