deploying a r-shinylive application to windows webserver

Hello trying to host/deploy a sample r-shinylive to a webserver. Anyone had any luck?
i have been able to create both stand alone r-shinylive applications and an r-shinylive application in a quarto document but i cannot seem to get the application to run when deployed to a webserver.

i followed the documentation here

i was able to run the application via httpuv::runStaticServer("site/")

but when i moved the site folder to the webserver i'm getting a site/app.json 404 (Not Found)
@ index.html:13 error....
