Hi Friends
I have data security concerns on working with shinyapps.io
I have a paid subscription (basic) in shinyapps.io.
for a non commercial purpose, i want to share the App for demo with my friend
My friend will load data from his laptop and run the app.
In this process, is there any security issue on data being loaded
If yes is there any other alternative, other than having R server .

This is the official policy listed by ShinyApps.io

If you are concerned about privacy and the app is only for your friend to use on his local machine, I would suggest you have him install R and run the app from his device.

Just add, even the top paid tier of shinyapps.io will not include https (a persistent and surprisingly unresolved problem with using shinyapps.io)
