console unresponsive at launch in POP! OS 22.04

Been using Rstudio without a problem for months on my POP! OS unit. Upgraded to 22.04 and Rstudio is now unresponsive at launch. I see the window and menu but nothing else. I've re-installed rstudio as well as the steps detailed in resetting the desktop state in the following page: https://support.rstudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/200534577-Resetting-RStudio-Desktop-s-State

Support for 22 is in beta! Does one of these builds work for you?

Is there a provisional timing for a stable version for Pop/ubuntu 22?
