There is an update on RStudio Visual for "Console Printing Improvements" (RStudio IDE and Posit Workbench 2025.05.0: What’s New - Posit).

I have the alternating color block on my laptop, but not on my other computer. I do not know what differs between the two. Has anyone else also not received the update?
Both versions of RStudio are RStudio-2025.05.1-513 on Windows 11.
The feature requires R >= 4.0.3. Any chance you are using an older R (3.x) on the machine where this isn't working?
Also check that the feature isn't turned off in settings:
