I do not know but R Studio will no longer make any suggestions for auto-complete. Preferences are set there is no problem about that.
Can you give some context about what situation you were in that had that result? Is it all the time or just in some cases? eg. if you start a new script or use the console and write base:: is there no autocompletion?
