Hi, I'd like to know if there is a way to check if an HTML element exists in shiny?

Sorry for the ambiguity. Actually, I need to check if there is an element already existing in ui.
I guess it could probably be done by searching the element id in the HTML body, but I do not know if there is a convenient way to do this in shiny.

probably not; its not normally needed; are you doing anything especially odd ? or perhaps you are overlooking more traditional approaches to delivering on your requirements (whatever that may be )
